Using a version of Confluence not listed here? Lockpoint supports all Confluence versions from 3.1 and above. See Lockpoint Legacy Version Compatibility for compatibility details for Confluence 5.x and below, and for Lockpoint 1.6.10 and below.

Do you need to download a version of Lockpoint other than the latest? See the Lockpoint download archive on the Marketplace to find the .JAR for any previous version of Lockpoint.

Confluence Data Center

Lockpoint is an Atlassian Data Center Approved App. Lockpoint was a day-one launch partner for the Data Center program, and Lockpoint 1.7.2 and higher have passed Atlassian's rigorous testing criteria.

Cenote Lockpoint supports Confluence Data Center from Lockpoint 1.6.0 and higher. Confluence Data Center's Read Only Mode is supported from Lockpoint 1.7.0 and higher.

Confluence Cloud

Cenote Lockpoint is not supported with Confluence Cloud.

Confluence Cloud does not currently have sufficient API support to implement Lockpoint. Lockpoint is compatible with Confluence Server and Confluence Data Center only, which are the downloaded and self-hosted versions of Confluence.

If you want to use Lockpoint but you do not want to host Confluence yourself, you may wish to consider a third-party cloud hosting service that hosts a full Confluence Server or Confluence Data Center instance in the cloud, but which still permits you to install any Server/Data Center app of your choice (including Lockpoint).

Seibert Media is a Europe-based Atlassian Platinum Solutions Partner with deep Confluence expertise. Seibert offers their hosted SWIFT service which you can use to immediately spin up a hosted instance of Confluence for use in testing, without any up-front credit cards or payments required.

Seibert Media also offers an Operation Package for hosting production installations of Confluence, complete with SLAs and transparent pricing.

Another option is Contegix, a US-based organization which offers expert Atlassian hosting services.

Third-Party App Compatibility

Cenote Lockpoint has direct integrations with, and is regularly tested for compatibility with, the following Confluence apps:

  • Gliffy
  • Balsamiq Wireframes
  • Edit in Office (Confluence 6.10 and below)
  • Edit in App (Confluence 6.11 and above)

If you experience any compatibility issues between Lockpoint and a third-party Confluence app, please contact Cenote Support so we can help resolve the issue.

ChromeAllFor Confluence 6.10+, all versions of Chrome are supported with Edit in App.

In Confluence 6.11 and higher, Atlassian's Edit in App feature, which replaces the old Edit in Office, is supported natively by Lockpoint for all attachment types, browsers and operating systems.

For Confluence 6.10 and below, Confluence's Edit in Office feature is provided by the Atlassian Office Connector, so Lockpoint's support for Edit in Office with specific browsers and Office applications is generally limited by the support matrix of the Atlassian Office Connector for your version of Confluence. Cenote generally recommends upgrading to Confluence 6.11+ and the Edit in App feature for a better editing experience.

Lockpoint also supports Atlassian's "dark feature" enablement of the deprecated Edit in Office feature on Confluence 6.13.6+, 6.15.5+ and Confluence 7.1+, with support available from Lockpoint 2.0.1.
